James William Robinson was the grandson of John and Elizabeth Robinson, who came from England and settled in York County, Virginia. James William Robinson married Mary Margaret Mckinney, niece of Lord Lynch, King of Scotland. James W. Robinson b. 1704 d. 1778 md Mary McKinney b 1712 d. 1781 Children: McKinney Robinson B. 1750 Augusta Co. Virginia. Died before 1812. Known to be living in 1805. The best information gives the location of his grave on the hill above the Clint Brooks' property in Lumberport. There is a monument there for Benjamin Robinson (McKinney's brother).
