The Sylvan Grove Public Library was organized in the fall of 1925 by The Tuesday
Club. The fIrst library was housed in a room above the Sylvan State Bank.
On December 1, 1956, the collection was moved to a room in the Sylvan City Hall, and that continues to be the home of the library.
In the sixty-two years the library has been in existence, there have been only four

The board members for 1987 are: President - Shirley Small; Vice President - Richard Howard; Secretary - Judy Walters; Treasurer - Lenora Strecker; and trustees Sandy Labertew, JoAnn Eller, and Nancy Mille.
